Product Warranties and Responsibilities

Uniglo’s jewelry collection is crafted with precision, passion, and strict attention to detail. Every item is handmade and thoroughly inspected by expert artisans to meet the highest standards of quality, design, and safety before it leaves our facility.

Warranty Against Hidden Defects

  • Uniglo guarantees its jewelry against hidden manufacturing defects for up to 20 years from the date of delivery.
  • Any such defects must be reported to Uniglo in writing within two months of discovery.
  • Customers are also protected under Belgian Civil Code Articles 1649bis to 1649octies.
  • Note: This 20-year warranty does not cover watches. Please refer to Article 17 in our Terms of Use for watch-specific conditions.

Warranty Exclusions

Uniglo’s warranty does not apply in the following cases:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Misuse or improper handling of the product
  • Unauthorized repairs or alterations
  • Missing, altered, or illegible invoices or certificates
  • Damage caused by intentional acts, gross negligence, or lack of care
  • Loss of diamonds unless Uniglo’s internal examination confirms a manufacturing fault

Client’s Responsibility Toward Third-Party Claims

The client agrees to indemnify Uniglo against any third-party claims resulting from the client’s use of the product, unless such claims are prohibited under applicable law.

Charges for Claims Not Covered by Warranty
  • If a warranty claim is found to be unjustified, the client will be charged for the cost of examination.
  • For products not covered under warranty that require repairs, Uniglo will send a quote to the client. Repairs will only proceed upon approval.
  • If declined, the item will be returned after prepayment of return shipping and research fees.
Product Forfeiture

If the client does not settle return and examination costs within six (6) months of the repair quote date:

  • Uniglo reserves the right to invoice these costs,
  • Charge storage fees, and
  • Appoint a legal custodian to sell the product on the client’s behalf.
Limitation of Liability

Uniglo’s liability for any product or service shall not exceed the original invoice amount paid by the client.

Warranty-Related Returns
  • Warranty returns must be sent to: Uniglo, Schupstraat 21, Box 5, 2018 Belgium, Belgium.
  • The client is fully responsible for all shipping, insurance, and customs charges related to the return.
  • Uniglo is not liable for any damage, theft, or loss during shipment.
  • Uniglo does not arrange return logistics or insurance on behalf of the client.
Statutory Two-Year Guarantee

In line with EU consumer laws, Uniglo provides a minimum two-year legal warranty on all products that are defective or non-conforming.

  • If a defect appears within two years, it is presumed to have existed at the time of delivery; unless proven otherwise.
  • Beyond two years, the client must prove the issue existed at the time of delivery.
  • Defects must be reported in writing within two months of discovery.
