Right to Cancel and Exchange

Legal Right of Withdrawal

  • Under Book VI of the Belgian Economic Law Code regarding market practices and consumer protection (LBC), private customers are entitled to cancel their purchase within 14 days of receiving the product, without providing any reason.
  • This right does not apply to items that are custom-made, including but not limited to personalized pieces, engraved jewelry, items with altered diamond specifications, loose stones, or any other product not listed as standard on www.uniglo.com.
  • In-store purchases (where clients pay and receive the item at a UNIGLO showroom) are excluded from this return policy, as customers are able to inspect the item before purchase; similar to a traditional retail experience.
  • The withdrawal right is valid only after delivery. Canceling an order before delivery is considered a breach of contract. UNIGLO may accept such cancellation only if the product can be restocked without cost. In such cases, the client will be charged a 5% administrative fee (excluding VAT).

Please note: Providing proof of payment for a custom order serves as binding confirmation. No cancellations will be allowed after this point.

Extended Return Policy

As a customer-first policy, UNIGLO also offers private individuals an extended 30-day return window from the date of delivery.

However, this does not apply to personalized or custom-made items as described above.

Conditions for Return

  • To use the right of return, clients must ship the product back to UNIGLO within 30 days of receipt.
  • Before returning the product, clients must notify a UNIGLO representative and complete the official Return Form.
  • The returned product must arrive at UNIGLO’s headquarters at Schupstraat 21, Box 5, 2018 Belgiumno later than 14 days after the 30-day return window ends.
Return Shipping Responsibilities
  • The item must be returned to UNIGLO’s Belgium headquarters at the above address.
  • UNIGLO is not responsible for organizing the return shipment or its insurance.
  • All return costs, including customs and import/export duties (where applicable), are the client’s responsibility. UNIGLO is not liable for damage, loss, or theft during transit.
  • Clients should handle jewelry with care and return it in original packaging, along with certificates and documentation.
  • After receiving the item, a Product Manager will conduct a quality inspection. If returned in a damaged or incomplete condition, UNIGLO may deduct a fee for depreciation or reject the return altogether.
  • If missing original materials or damage leads to a reduction in value, UNIGLO may charge a depreciation fee, as allowed under Article VI.51, §2 of the WER.
Inspection of Returned Items

Once returned, UNIGLO’s Product Manager will inspect the jewelry to confirm that it has not been damaged or devalued.

Clients will be notified via email or phone when the return has been received and reviewed.

Refunds

The full purchase amount will be refunded within 10 business days after receipt and successful inspection of the item.

  • If the item shows signs of use, damage, or missing components, the refund will be adjusted accordingly to reflect the depreciation.
  • Refunds will be processed using the same payment method used for the original order.
